Settling in slowly, but steadily... new place is great... hope we can be here awhile...

Too much on plate to commit to regular writing... all the usual duties PLUS wonderful new project:
Acting as adult sponsor for youth fund raising org, 'Opening Hope - Hearts for Haiti'. Group comprised of my two teen boys + friends. Also networking with other youth groups with same purpose.
Amazing... I've learned so much from these kids in just a couple of weeks! So creative... and in many ways, savvy!
No better time than the teen years to learn grassroots organizing, activism and fund raising, I figured...
Group has voted to be an ongoing effort, so they will learn some great prob solving, networking and logistical skills over time...

I'm sorry I can't join in the round robin right now.. :-( I feel bad about that, but 'Hearts' is giving me a tremendous level of satisfaction... Activism is what really floats my boat, I guess... that, and working with kids... they're still honest, and motivated by the right things... they aren't doing this with the hidden agendas and ego driven motivations that prevail in adult politics...

Not only was that an amazing dream, it was amazing writing too ... wow *smile* ... did you see, i wrote a dream in the fanfic but it isn't half as interesting as yours - it has dream themes in it but not as wildly interesting ... still, you have stirred my imagination! sweet! Thanks!!!!!!!!
